This design establishes a new central mixed-use district for Jiangmen within close proximity to the government buildings and rapid transit station. A large retail development forms one edge of the site along the main street, including a pedestrian shopping street which flows from one edge of the site through to the sculptural forms of a shopping mall at the other end, with public squares opening up along the way. South of the shopping street there is a large green space containing residential towers and communal spaces within the park.
